ACRE Oceans (Arctic)

Location, inventory and imaging of historic marine data for Artic seas, Atlantic basin.  The data have been imaged from marine meteorolgical logbooks held at the UK National Meteorological Archive, Exeter and the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge University.  The period covered is about 1850 to 1914, and includes naval vessels of exploration, relief and search vessels, and whaling ships.
