ACRE Oceans (Pacific)

Location and imaging of historic marine data for the entire Pacific basin during the 19th and 20th centuries.  The data are found in ships' logbooks and related documents.  Although the focus is on vessels visiting ports or passing through the Pacific, the data coverage is global. Vessels are both naval and mercantile.  The ships are sailing under the flags of the United Kingdom, Finland, Norway, Russia, Chile, the United States, Germany, Spain, France and other countries.
