Met Office Archives for Scotland (held at NRS)

Meteorological records in physical (paper) format created by the Met Office and relating to locations in Scotland are held at the National Records of Scotland (NRS). These cover all main meteorological elements and encompass autographic records and tabulated data in various forms inclding climatological returns and daily registers. The archive also holds the papers of Forbes of Culloden and a special collection relating to the historic weather station on Ben Nevis. Date range mid 19th century - early 21st century
